Continuing my tour of Brisbane...
On our first night there, had a walk along South Bank, and just shot a few.

A shame about the rail. Girlfriend was walking away, so had to shoot quickly, and not walk up the steps.

I liked the shadow patterns made from the highways suspended over the water. :)

Very Cool shots. That's something I have to try, water falls! Absolutely awesome, each and every one of them.
What settings was the last picture done with? I have been trying to take a good picture of my cities skyline but can't seem to get the right settings, but maybe you could help me out by giving me your settings so I have somewhere to start from. If you can, Thanks.

Great shots as always. Did you go to Noosa? (sp?) I have friends there and may be going in December.

The last pic was taken with AV mode, where you just set your own Aperture and ISO. I always use ISO 100, which makes for longer shots, but less noisy. I could have used many different apertures on this shot, and would have worked. This one was f6.3, ISO 100, 13 second shot, using a tripod and 10 sec timer to eliminate tripod shake. However, as I was on the bridge on this shot, a truck and a large bus went past, shaking the whole bridge. It seems the image still came out ok. :)
Mills: No, I didn't get to Noosa. Only places I visited was Brisbane, then to Surfers first day for 7 days - where I then went to DreamWorld, MovieWorld, SeaWorld, DreamWorld, Wet n Wild (yes, Dreamworld twice). Also went to Harbour Town for cheap shopping, and stayed in Broadbeach. One day I was thinking about getting up, catching a taxi into Surfers Paradise CBD, and taking some photos there. But each morning I was exhausted, or missed my 5:30am get up. ;)

Wazza thank you so much, just getting into night photography and have been using Manual settings. I will try that next time, and good point about the timer. I'll see how I do next time.

I've taken almost the same shots as 2 & 3, you have done very well. You can almost see my workplace in #3. :)

Im a sucker for waterfalls, I love the way the water looks. So soft and clear.
I really like the colors in the water reflections.

Thanks very much for the wonderful comments all. Really makes a day start well. :)
RockSlut: I do have a couple of shots taken further right, if that's where your work is. I just didn't post it, as it wasn't as good as #3 here.
Symes: I used the 17-40L on all of these. No filter. I had been using a UV filter, but broke it just before this trip. :( (Lucky the lens didn't break)
Michael: Yes, I love the lights also. Whoever designed this city, did a great job.
There is now talk around Auckland's Viaduct and wharfs, that we need to do it up. I agree, much of it is very trashy, and ancient. Only the Viaduct itself is a little bit more presentable
