I was thinking about picking up another macro lens. Something I can use along with the MPE65. Ive owned a couple of Sigma 150s. Superb lens. Very sharp and built like a tank. I have been wondering about the Canon 100mm. I have used it in the past but not really paid much attention to it. I borrowed my buddies 100mm. WOW! Its super incredibly easy to use. The thing is light compared to the Sigma from what i remember. Its a little longer than I remember. Thanks for reading and looking.....
Here are a couple of spiders.

Lovely shot- the 100mm is a great lens and easier to use than the longer macro lenses.

agreed much easier to use than the 150 for smaller subjects although the latter is also very sharp if you get it right. I did pick up a 180 Tamron recently in preparation for the summer ahead - need the reach for butterflies and some species of Dragons plus the excellent bokeh will be nice.
