Well, it is as the title says. I'm planning a trip to Alaska in a year or two and being the meticulous planner that I am, I want some advice. I want to go to Alaska to specifically photograph the Arctic Fox, although other arctic animals and scenery will be on the to do list. I'm going to try to shoot for 10 days in Alaska hopefully.

Now I created the thread to get advice for where to go to photograph the Arctic Foxes, what places should I go for the landscape, advice from people who have been or live there, tips, etc. Where are the Arctic foxes most accepting of humans and thus allowing of me to get closest to them? What times are best to photograph them? How long of a lens would be needed? (I have a 500mm and 1.4x TC currently)

Any tips on what I should bring, where I should go, etc? And finally, where would be the best place to stay, which is in a short distance of where the Arctic Foxes are located?

Well I think you have enough reach.... as far as where to go.... um, take me with and we will figure it out together! :D

Best of luck finding what you're after and have a good time when you go! I am no help in the other areas you are asking for, sorry :(
