yea,it would have been some time ago when I was so agrevated that I couldn't find the updater for DPP 1.5 anywhere :-P

...I did find it eventually (thanks to the great people here)

I'm lucky enough to live just a few miles from the Canon Service center in Irvine CA. I went down to have the software updated in my 20D and they did it while I waited. Took about 5 minutes. He had it loaded on a small CF card.

I was dumb not to realise getting a DSLR would be like installing a new OS on a computer
Upgrades, lack of info, online helps etc. i.e. the guys that sell you the stuff ain't got a clue!
