It was on the USS intrepid, located in Manhattan New york.
I was across the West Side Highway.
I parked temporarily, and mounted my Kenko 1.5 xtender, and my 70-200f4L .
Please let me know know what you think for taking a image from so far away.

Nice shot. Detail is so good, that I'd expect a visit from the FBI or Homeland Security if I were you LOL

Without that wonderful lens, it might very well have been a fuzzy TomCat.

I'm impressed with the clarity of the photo with the xtender, even with the minor pscs adjustment. Familiar with this area and the ship. Tough to get such a shot from the other side.

Very nice shot and good colours.
Only thing distracting me is that it is not level.
OK, the Awacs plane behind the tomcat also distracts a bit, but I suppose you couldn't really ask them to move it for your shot
Best regards

What's funny is, this is 1 of 2 images. I took the first image at about 1/320th, or so, and then reviewed the image in the view finder. I zoomed in on the words TomCat on the LCD display, and they were blurry, so I upped the T-value to 1/400th and took the photo again. Reviewed the words, and they were sharper..
I am planning to take a trip to the Intrepid when it warms up out here in new york. I will bring my tripod because I intend to try, and get a few interesting shots.. Including a view over the rear wings straight over the top portion of the plane.. If my tripod will go that high.. lol..
also all my parameters are set to 0 .. So the curves, contrast, and all that other stuff I do in photoshop.

Nice shot. You got me excited enough to find my own Interpid shots. Here's a couple.

Thanks. The deck should look amazing if you get a chance to shoot it after rain while the sun is setting with Manhattan on the background. Hope you post your shots here if you do get a chance to board the ship.

Good shot especially given the range you had to take it from. I have one suggestion for improvement, tilt it a little in Photoshop so that the deck is level and maybe even crop a bit off the bottom as all that grey paint isn't really adding a lot, making it more of a letter box.
