Hello from a small town on the central Florida coast - Indialantic. Joined a few days ago, been lurking, and I am having a hard time figuring out where to post an intro, so mods please move as appropriate.
First things first - I understand it's a requirement to post up a duck pic for a whole variety of reasons, so let me get that out of the way.

Once upon a time I dabbled in 35mm film (Canon FT-b and a Canon EF) but came to realize I had other talents and duties calling so I put it aside. Some 30 years later I've decided to try creating images once again (talent or no), except obviously digital is calling. There is SO very much to learn - and I'm an old dog. The pic above was cropped down to something I found interesting, but no other processing, as another thing I need to learn is how to use Photoshop (bought a book today).
In closing I'd like to thank to owner's and member's of POTN, for without them I don't think I would have been able to produce even the pic above for another month or two (Canon's manual is not the most strightforward for someone with no digital experience).
