Here is another try at HDR with a Hotel reception. Also tried using the Lens distortion as suggested by canonloader (thanks)
5 photos 16-35 at 16mm photomatrix. Hard part here keeping the people from moving around.

This is the kind of shot where patience is the virtue. If you can't keep the people from moving, wait them out. It's really the only way that will work good. Also, the WB looks a little off. Maybe use the White or Mid-tone eyedropper in RAW or just adjust the temp with the sliders. If you were trying to get all distortion out, I still see some, in the stair railing, the columns on left and right. Of course, no real way to get this shot without tilting the camera, which is what causes distortion.

Were you using sRGB Colorspace? Maybe thats where the tone shift is coming from. sRGB is for showing on the Web, Adobe RGB is for print.
