Discussing the process the photographer went through in shooting this photo. I've looked and looked but cant seem to find the thread it belongs to. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like the setup was 2 flashes (one on either side) for rim light, and probably a third on the background. Having the dark pants/jacket/backdrop helps to soak up light. Probably some levels and contrast adjustments in post too.

Thanks for your help John. I'm remembering that the original setup seemed to be one light with a few reflectors. I wish I could find the darn thread now.

Nice...it's a cool looking shot for sure! I'd like to see the lighting diagram too.
