I think it will be as well. Now I just have to catch some of the more exotic residents of this airfield from here.

- At least one P51 Mustang
- Twin Beach
- T-6
- T-28
- Multiple Stearmans
- Couple of L39 Albatros'
- Several Citation Jets as well

I like #1. #2 looks as if it's parked. Is that what you were going for?

I'm "cheating" with a 300 f/2.8 + 1.4x TC on a 40D. Ssssh... our little secret, 'k? ;)

The Mooney had touched down at the far end and rolled out the entire length before turning off to his right to taxi back to his house (this is a fly-in community.) I have shots of him just before landing but the heat haze makes things a bit "watery."

ETA: This is what the other end of the runway looked like in the mid afternoon heating:

As I get 'em, I'll post 'em!

Funny how the heat signature in this photo makes the image look over sharpened. :)

So, A 420mm F/4 lens? Not bad. Shhh. ;)

I know it makes the purists scream but I like to think of it as my 672mm (Effective FOV) f/4... (300 x 1.4 x 1.6)

More good stuff from today coming in a bit...

Almost as bad as my shot of the Moon while using a 500mm Tamron mirror with two Tamron doublers.
Can be seen here. http://www.fototime.com/A9A21AB6AC61F71/standard.jpg
Lets see, that would be 2000 mm at something like F/32?
