So I was wondering if any of you pros (or non pros even)had a little bag you carried around that has a ton of odds/ends such as tape, rubber bands, clothes pins, bandaids, lens cloths, etc? I am thinking of putting one together and want to include important items that could be of help or come in handy when I'm off for the day taking photos.

Hopefully this post makes sense ok. I can't think right now.

I carry such an item in the trunk of my car. I use it for setting up shoots on the road incase materials are not available or provided. Some items I include are:

Regular Scotch Tape
Painting Scotch Tape (Not as sticky)
The Clear Tape whatever its called (small one for like wrapping gifts)
Packaging Tape Extra Strength from 3M
Small First Aid Kit
Lens Cleaning clothes, tools, and solution
Usually I bring a few Swiffer pads for making sure props or anything is dust free
i have 6 small piece of 2x4 wood cut in small pieces, which i use if i need to raise something.
Package of assorted rubber bands (thin, thick, stretchy, tight, etc)
Assortment of pins
Tylenol EZ tabs (u never know when u might need em lol)
Power cord thing for camera to wall socket power
Spare USB cable
I always bring a heavy duty stapler and staples, they come in handy alot
Extra light bulbs
Thats all I can think of. Basically I carry the entire emergency kit in two large mettalic oversized briefcase things.

How about an ice chest with some liquid "first aid" just in case the emergency is getting too big!!!!

After reading this:

A snake bite kit would be suggested for some. :-)

Actually, I keep lens cleaning supplies, blower/brush, flashlight, spare batteries for the flashes, granola bars, water, Leatherman multi-tool, dc/ac converter and charger (if I'm in my vehicle) extra CF cards, filters, compass, cell phone, and a few other odds and ends in my backpack.

had a little bag you carried around that has a ton of odds/ends such as

My Domke bag has a zipper in the top flap that carries a grey card, a pen and a small note book. I often shoot in 3rd world situations, so have learned to bring at least 2 essentials on every trip. In one of the side pockets I stash a bag of Peanut M&Ms and a small roll of toilet paper. You won't laugh if you been there!

Plastic rain poncho (one of the $1.98 jobbies from the drug store) and large garbage bag, mini-'biners on all available D-rings, and cable ties. A small bottle of sun-tan oil and a set of ear plugs. My Domke has the pen, notebook and grey card as well (it's a factory option ;{)# ). The photo backpack has a small first aid kit as well.
