I am going to be making a buisness trip soon to Anchorage and am debating if i should bring my camera with me. I will be there from a monday thru saturday and will be working everyday. The hours are short I know so should I even bother. I was thinking that the only thing I may be able to shoot is the northern lights and from what I know its usually not even visible from Anchorage. So, I thought I would pick the brains of the Alaska photographers, is it worth lugging my gear up there for what may be nothing? Is it possible to see the northern lights in Anchorage? If so, where is a good spot to shoot them? And, are there any other great places to shoot in or around Anchorage for some cool night shots. Your thoughts and input are appreciated. Thanks
