Hi there. Heres a couple of recent landscapes i took with my 300d. One is of whithaven beach in Australia, the other is oj the banks of Loch Lomond. Apologies for the quality, im new to putting images on the net. Let me know what you think, any advice would be great.

They both look great to me - especially the Lough Lomond one. You can see where the phrase 'bonny bonny banks of Lough Lomand' comes from!

Oh i love the second one thats special.
Also after coming back from Japan and europe (where it was winter) I much prefer taking pictures and europe and Jap, because the Aust sun can be to harse in the middle of the day

Nice!
I like #1, but it is really nothing amazing.
#2 on the other hand, I LOVE that picture!
That is a beautiful shot! Good job. :)

Thanks for the comments. To answer a couple of questions, the beach is in Queensland, part of the whitsundays. Its called whithaven beach i believe. And as for the abandoned boat, it actaually belongs to the university of Glasgow field station. That is the view from the field station and as im doing a PhD on loch lomond at the mo i get regular access. I went out in the boat 20mins after i took the shot. Thanks for all the comments.

...or used to until you pushed it out onto the loch to get a very nice photo :D

I just love #2. But I think you are misleading us! You used a catapult to knock a guy out of the boat and then took the pic! :)

Ok, you got me. I thought my catapulting days were over but i just couldnt resist.

Great shots.
No. 2 is beautiful, you did a great job there.
P.S. No 2 might be the better shot but I know where I'd rather be at the minute. ( and it's not Loch Lomond )

Great shots. Different though they may be. Number two is really very good.

What does that say in the heart on the first pic?
The second shot is just amazing. The colors, the water is so calm, one of the best shots I've seen in a while.

I have no idea what it says on the beach. I think it had been there some time and was quite degraded. Im sure it was something nice though. In truth i didnt want it in the shot, but i would have felt guilty destroying it in front of so many people. Thanks for the comments on the second shot, i was considering putting it into a competition for research scientists and their research sites? May consider it more now.

Beautiful shots. I think if you keep the long side of your photo's no bigger than 800 pixels or even 600 you should have no problem..

Anyone suggest a good method for making the sky on the loch lomons shot slightly bluer without changing the rest of the shot?
