S40 autofocus noise

I have had my s40 for several months now and overall am happy with the camera. However, recently I noticed that the autofocus seems to be noisier than before. I may just be more sensitive to it now that I have heard it but can anyone comment on the noise of the autofocus mechanism? Thanks.

spray it with wd-40... ;)

Canon's are supposed to be the quietest camera's on the planet. Take it to the shop you got it, or just any shop, you should still have warrenty on it right? See what they say.
