These are the first long exposure shots I've taken of a city. They were taken on 12.29.08 around 7pm from Mt. Royal. I loved the sky in the second shot and wanted to do it portrait instead of landscape.
They were taken with the 400D & kit lens. Both exposures were 8 seconds. The landscape shot was F9, portrait was F5.6.
C&C welcome (I could certainly use it!)

Agree with Eagle about the first shot, second is a keeper.
Great Work.
Must have been cold up there.

Yeah, I'm looking at the first one now and realizing that there must have been a bit of jitter to the camera. Oh well, I'll sift through the other shots I took and see if there's a decent landscape one. Thanks for the compliments on the second one.
It really was freakin cold up there but totally worth it for the photo opportunity.

I guess you would have had the place to yourself, it being so cold.
The lookout give a great view.
Went out Saturday and froze while taking some shots in Griffintown. Thank god I was able to get out of the wind.

love the detail in the second shot. the steam off the building tops, along with the reflections in the lake in the background....very nice indeed!

As stated in the thread title, this is from Mt. Royal in Montreal, Quebec. Specifically, it's at the lookout spot at the mountain top.
Thanks for the comments!
