I had no idea what to shoot, so I drove out to the local wildlife park. Nothing there so I started hiking. When I turn the corner out of the woods, there are two gorgeous swans. Then when I come home, a stray cat was sitting on my deck! I'm very impressed with the camera and the lens (I know the lens has bad reviews but I'm still a newbie so it's like gold to me), this is my first time using an SLR or a MF lens and I found it fairly easy, and FAST! So much better than my A80!

Here's a link to the shots, please let me know what you think, and let me know if you have problems viewing the images (I saved them as .PNG and I'm not sure if those are viewable by everyone!).

The swans look nice, mute swans I thnk . . . your cat is even cute. Those new lens are a lot of fun. Looks like you had your share this day.

nice capture. Could you tone done the highlight in the single swan to get a bit more detail in th eblown out part?

I have the same set up. I like it fine. Sure, today I saw an L lens at the local shop. Sure, I drooled - a lot! But I have taken loads of photos with mine. I get some really nice ones some time, too. Keep playing and have a great time with it. I enojoyed looking at the swans. I would never see anything like that around here.

Do you have photoshop? It makes having a digital camera so much more fun.
