Taken last Sunday, at a friend's house using natural light. I couldn't use the tripod, the little lady was moving all over the place :D

I'm just a beginner... so comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Is that a shadow beneath her ear? Looks professionally shot. Nicely done.

rrdjserv,
I think it is a shadow. I tried using the flash, but she was getting really nervous about it. That's why I decided to let her walk. When she got close from the window, I noticed there was enought light, so I took some shots (4 or 5) there. The zoom really helped though.

DSMITH131,
I consider myself a beginner since I'm still learning. I had the advantage of practicing with my daughters... but to be honest, there is still lots of shots that don't turn out good because of me. I do like doing portraits and I've been reading a lot about techniques.

Thanks both for your comments,

Leo.

Leo,

she's adorable!

How old is she? Looks like about 1 year...
Is Forest her name? Bit unusual, but why not?

Best regards,
Andy

Thanks for all your comments :)

Simon king,
You made me laugh!!! that's true.. if you don't look hard enough you might confuse the window with a toilet roll holder. That's the kind of things I need to pay more attention to.

Andy,
She's 10 months old. Forest is her name... and I actually thought it was kind of cool.

Wow!

10 months is pretty early to stand up and walk around!

Best regards,
Andy

What a great shot Leo! The window light is perfect with her 'doll' like features and the pastel dress. Have you played with 'reflectors' much yet? Since you say the flash made her nervous, totally understandable, maybe a reflector card/screen would have added the perfect fill light from that window behind her, plus it would have drawn her eyes into it to get some light reflection.
