I happened to drop into one of the beautiful city churches last week
and once more could hardly believe my eyes > http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif
(this has happened me before )
a machine was almost right up on the main altar
'skylift hire' http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif
and another machine ,which raised the man to new heights, was a little further down the church
(the man told me ...the painting job will take about five more weeks.
three already gone)
but finding the body of Jesus lying almost under the machine I thought
'what a coincidence'
next week being Holy Week and so close to Easter.

Imagine, a traffic accident in the church http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif
the man(who owed the big machine which knocked down Jesus )
asked me who I was taking the pictures for ?
shiver/shrivel
meself, I said
(and knelt down to pray)

I think he's asking me to leave:confused:
j/joking
there was no bother with them at all
the man was just interested
maybe thought I was checking up (for someone else) on their work

The first one is powerful. You have an uncanny ability to find these opportunities. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful shots Marie, I agree the first one is very interesting what a good eye you have. :) Course I never ceases to amaze me the extents that some people will go to to get closer to God. I mean really, a sky lift  ;)   Me I'll take the "stairway to heaven".

thanks jf
yes it is powerful
I think mainly it's because of the figure of Our Lord which is laid out like that.
it's in front of the main altar
the figure representing Jesus, how he must have been when he was taken down from the cross.
~ Happy Easter ~

thank you Sandy
this church is almost in the centre of the nicest shopping area
(where I took all the window shots lately)
yet hidden away, more or less, down a cobbled street.
absolutely beautiful area, the stores and the restaurants/café's
well I think sohttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif
the church itself is one of the nicest
forget 'money' and the church.
(if people can for a second)
 I never was asked for money for the church
I would hate to see this one not there.
they have a beautiful side altar also
glad they are able to keep the church looking and feeling so good
some don't know it's even there it's so 'out of the way'
but it's a beauty and a pity to miss it if visiting

Let the church lift your spirits...with a little help from skylift.
Fun pictures.
