I am looking at a sigma flash for off camera in manual mode. If i am going to use it off camera does it matter what band the flash is made for? Like Minolta, Sony, or Nikon?

In optical slave mode, the Sigma Super will stay on until the batteries die.

With the Sigma Super, you need to use optical slave mode for it to work with a hotshoe adapter anyway. So you'll have no problems with it going to sleep.

I just received the Sigma 500 super for sony and the foot mount is different. I can put it on the hot shoe. Is there a different hot to buy to get a pc cord input?
