Which is the best one? What do you use?

put your flash in the bounce position and attach a white index card/business card to the back using rubberbands, so that it's sticking about 2-3 inches above the flash. i learned that from this forum, and it's given me the best results of everything i've tried . . . including the omnibounce IMO.

Oh, and it costs you less than $1.00;) :D ;) :D

Good luck!

Lumiquest UltraSoft or Pocket Bounce, depending on the situation.

I've had some great results with the Lumiquest 80/20 bouncer.

Are there any supporters of Gary Fong's Lightsphere II? I did a thread search and there doesn't seem to be many people here using it yet.

Results from here (http://secure.mycart.net/catalogs/catalog.asp?prodid=3354218&showprevnext=1)seem to be outstanding . . . check out his video . . .

i think i'm going to try it out.

I have the omnibounce for the 580 and it works great. The 580 has a built in diffuser(?) that pulls out from the top of the flash. It is like a credit card size white plastic card and a clear reflector that fold at a 90 degree angle and covers the flash. THis actually has worked very well in many situations where you do not want the full flash hitting your target.

I use the Lightsphere II, and I used to use the omni-bounce. Never again. However, if I want to get crazy, I sometimes put on the Photoflex Xtra Small softbox :)

I will post some pix with lightsphere II

BTW, I posted pictures of the Lightsphere II and the Photoflex Xtra Small softbox on another thread here...you can see the physical size if you can find that thread.

Ok here is a shot I took in a restaurant using my Elan 7E + 24-70 f/2.8 L w/ 580EX + Lightsphere II. I set it for 1/125 because I didn't want the interior lights. Film was NPS 160.

i have both omnibounce and lumiquest. indoors, there isn't too much difference between the two. outdoors, it's a whole 'nother story. you can put an insert (white, silver, or gold) to change from 80/20 to 100% reflect. also you can then put a diffuser on top of that.it beats carrying a brolly and bracket around...
