Master/Slave question

I have the 550ex and recently purchased the 580 ex. If I want to mount the 550ex on a stand alongside a wrestling mat for added flash, will my 580 trip it?

If I want both flashes off camera, what do I need?

yes it will work, but you must be close

You can use the 580 or 550 to trigger any other 550/420/580 wirelessly. As long as they can see each other you are OK. 10-20feet indoors is fine. Just turn the head so that the red plastic of the slaves face the master.
