http://www.johnzdorphotography.com/photoposts/Ice%20Formations-1-2.jpgI everyone, I just got back from taking a bunch of pix at Lake Michigan. The waves froze on the beach making dozens of awesome ice formations. Here's one. Tell me what you think. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/www.johnzdorphotography.com/photoposts/Ice%20Formations-1-2.jpg

It's very interesting! What part of the lake? It looks a bit dirty and doesn't seem to be the WB, did you do any other pp? Any more to share?

I think this would look nice in BW, with the levels and / or curves adjusted a bit. That would get rid of the ugly (IMHO) brown tinge, and really show off the icicles hanging from the formation.

Image edit was ok, right? Now, this is what I would do. It's all subjective, I've increased light and contrast on the ice, and reduced light in the clouds. Back and white is also an option. Try it! :)

the brown is sand I think. I took these at Wako beach, just outside of Berrien Springs, MI. I have more pictures that I will try to post, but I'll not have reliable internet for a while...lol
