This place is really cool, kinda eerie at night when all you can hear is the clinking of the sign......

No wonder there are no humans...

The bunnies ate them all!

<Great series. Tourist "Ghost Town" or the real deal? Looks a little clean if you know what I mean...especially the wooden structures.>

Nice, really nice shots.

I like the shot of the truck (No2). Looks like someone shines the tires.

Awesome ghost town shots. I love the downed plane. The HDR effect is really great but I would like to see some non HDR images to get an idea of what it looks like with out it.

You have to get to know your area. Get a really good map and start googling the out of the way places to see what you can find. Then fill up the tank and just drive.

Wikimapia is a good place to start, but just like all other "wiki" style resources, you have to take the info with a grain of salt.

The pics and location are awesome, DonJuanMair!

thanks bishop!

i agree, i just googled 'ghost towns nevada'
and then bam loads came up.
I also went to borders and they should have a section in yours about your area im guessing, if you live in a big city. I found a book there with details,

Where do you live stuart?

The family that owns that place keeps the "store" open during the day with all kind of neat stuff in it, to see (even got "aliens" in jars LoL) . They give tours of the old mine that is across the road from the buildings, and loads of movie stuff from when various films were shot there... the "crashed" plane is from "3000 Miles to Graceland".

The shots here are awesome... the processing really gives it that "ghost town" feel... beautiful!
