Well this small studio stuff is a lot harder than I thought ..just got two strobes in the other week and a octsoftbox and I well underestimated the space I needed not to mention I had to use the kit lens after I realized that to keep her of the backdrop I would have to shoot around 20 to 35 mm only lens I had under 50mm ..learning curve step one...anyway these were taken before a dance of my daughter.. key 48" octSB, fill reflector, bounced second stobe of ceiling (just over 7 1/2 feet tall  ) for backdrop....spill every where no real control of lighting ..alot of work editing to try to make the lighting look somewhat ok added the vig...alright i'll stop complaining now;)

They look good. I know how you feel, it's a lot harder than it looks. You did a pretty good job though.

I think they look good. I would be happy if my first ones come out that well when my studio is done.

You have a very beautiful daughter there. Swords over mantle place. Shotgun cleaned and ready. Portable GPS tracker sewn into her clothing. :)

OK, I could say, lovely shots and press the button. But I'll try help you improve, so here it goes:
-in the first shot, the frame is perhaps a bit too empty, it would be perfect if there was a girl to the left and another to the right of your daughter
-if she'd ask me - do I look fat in this photo - I'd think for about 4 seconds, before saying - Whoops, sorry, telephone... Kidding aside - she has her leg bent in such a way that it visually widens her thighs
-her right arm is in an unnatural position, interestingly I don't find it that distracting in the second shot...
-is she wearing a white bra? Not an actual complaint, as it stresses the, you know, curves, but it is distracting I think
-perhaps nitpicking, but how about straightening the wrinkles on the dress?
I think one should either try to make the model look as perfect as possible or as relaxed, easy going, every-day-like and natural as possible...
Also, I bet she's a heartbreaker. :D
Stealth edit: the last photo is as perfect as it goes, and she looks.. well, absolutely beautiful.

I am so jealous..You not only have the equipment but also the talent to use it.

Nice shots & lighting, but on the last one, I'm bothered by the strand of hair "hanging from her chin". I'd clone it out.

She is a heartbreaker.. if you ask me ..
I can see why you need stocks in the phone company.
Otherwise, the images look pretty good, I see you said you had to do a lot of photoshoping, so you know what this means right? Next time, you have to set your scene up better. Also I look at the range of 17-40/50/ to 85, and 135 as prime lenses for shooting portraits, from what I have gathered. I wish I had some of the equipment that you had.. boy I tell ya ..
Great work though .. Very presentable if you ask me.

Maybe i'm being a bit nit picky but the first shot looks like it was shot at about eyelevel with her. Maybe try shooting from her hip level so it's kind of angled up towards her.

I agree with changing the angle of the first shot..I can't really say I like the first pose. Although the next 2 I really like! Great start!

Your daughter is very beautiful.
I'm going to agree with the above though. Her pose in the first pic makes her have a huge behind. Its the angle that does it. With long dresses like that you kind of want a more slimming pose.
