This is reportedly the 3rd largest replica of Liberty in the world. This shot was taken in Odiaba, Tokyo and shows the Rainbow Bridge in the background and behind that is the Tokyo Tower. Unfortunately her face was not well lit, so I brightened it a bit and tried to smooth the horizontal reddish seams. Taken with EOS 40D 24-105 mm L at 35mm 1/4 sec f 4.0 monopod. C&C welcome.

very nice, are those the real colors?

Yes, colors are real. The only thing I did was work on the statue's face and body a bit; did nothing to the bridge or anything else.

Very cool; colors are great, and the photo is perfectly sharp. Only nitpick I have is how the lady seems a bit blown out on her body. It could be the monitor though, this one I'm in seems a bit off.

Actually you are correct about her body being hot. The lights were all focused on her mid section and I had to brighten the face quite a bit. I'm working on another take trying to even out the light a little better. Thanks for the comments.

I like it, great clarity and wonderful colors. It does appear to be tipping a bit to the right though.

Good observation, I was looking more at Liberty. Seems I need to correct distortion to fix this. Thanks.
And thanks to everyone for the comments.
edit: I added a 2nd edited image, straightened and brightened Liberty's upper body.

I like everything better on the second image except the lady's face. It seems just the tiniest bit hot; I liked the grungy look the darkness gave from the first photo. Everything else about the second version is better though.

I agree, it's still a work in progress to get it just right before I print it big and frame it. Thanks for the observation.

The first image is better IMO. Sky was ruined by the processing and her face is gone in the second image. Nice composition though.

I'm new to this but I'll give you my thoughts; Picture 1 is better, the bridge and city colours stand out more against the darker sky, The lady's face while grungy gives the the shot more realism. If I were to change anything I would crop off a bit of sky.

Thanks gmacmt and ninja. I agree the sky got a little noisy when I brightened the image. I'm still working on this and I think a darker sky would be better. And the face does need work too.
