1st Time Shooting Hockey-C&C Please

2 pics for C&C , as this was my 1st attempt at shooting hockey. Our friend wanted some pics of her daughter, yes the girls play in WI/MI too! Going back today for some more shots!

Unrelated suggestion... maybe replace the huge border with something smaller so we can see more photo and less border?

You need eyes. You don't show them in either.

IMO the perspective is much better from down low, just above the boards if you can. Best if you can use a no plexi area like penalty box or bench. Otherwise try to find some clean glass.

On using the flash at f6.3.... I'd suggest you open it up to your max of f4 and lower your ISO to the corresponding setting - maybe 800. It'll improve the IQ.

I agree totally, BUT when you are limited to one area to shoot from, up high unfortunately, and the glass is way beyond clean-able, I shot from the best spot possible
