That's quite cool. I'd wondered about stacking a bunch of pics to simulate 6 to 10 hours of star trailing, (if I could find a way to fight the dew), but over about an hour or so I think the trailing gets a little excessive. Thanks for posting the link to the image and saving me the trouble of trying to do something similar! ;)

Wow, 6 hours. The most I've ever managed is 1.5 hours - made some pretty nice star trails, but light pollution always kills it. The method of stacking multiple 30-second exposures together is nice too, just takes forever in front of the computer afterwards!

True, but with something like startrails.de you can set it running and go and do something else. ;)

actually, it's no problem at all (You just need to adjust the code a bit):
