This is my friends baby, Her name is Sydney. She is almost 2 months old. These were all taken with natural light and no flash.

cute baby. 2nd is my favorite. For my eyes, the pictures are little under exposed. flash would have helped the pictures and little contrast.

I didn't want to use flash, didn't want to hurt or bother her eyes... She didn't like it at all and started balling.

Cute baby, but the 1st picture is too soft, they are all underexposed and it looks like you had your ISO up WAY too high. you can use an external flash to bounce off the ceiling and most of the time it will diffuse the light enough that it wont hurt the baby's eyes, and it wont be shooting the light directly into his or her eyes. What was the exif info on this shot? what was the shutter speed, iso and aperature set to?

I only have my camera, nothing fancy yet. I was just using the light in their house which is not that great...

They need flash or some other light source. If you don't want to use flash, open a window and shoot her lying next to it. Not that flash will do anything to the eyes.

I would have loved to use a flash but it made her cry and thats never good
