I like to hear users comments of Travel Angel c-169 M8 or c-269 M8 tripods.
I don't need tom "something" ball head review link or comment of Gitzo's.
Thanks!

Anybody familiar with either of these tripods? I am also thinking about purchasing them. So far a google search doesn't reveal anything specific about these particular models. I have seen mixed reviews on their ball heads and am aware of those potential issues, but others seem to be happy with them.

I don't know if this is useful to you, but I just received a C-168 Travel Angel tripod a few weeks ago. It seems to be very well made and is very light and compact. Just what I was looking for. I also got a Markins Q-3 ballhead to go with it, and that seems to be a very nice combination. It is very stable with my 40d and 17-55mm lens, and 70-200 f/4 lens. It is also pretty good with my 100-400mm lens, but not quite as stable. Using a remote trigger certainly makes it way better than trying to hand-hold that sucker.
Overall it is a pretty good compromise. I have another heavy duty Giottos tripod and ballhead, but found I never wanted to lug that weight around, so even if this isn't quite as stable, it is soo much easier to have on me when hiking.
