The name of the product and some of the puddle are out of the frame. I would try the same shot with a portrait comp, and get the whole bottle and puddle in. I like the effect of the melting ice and lighting and the angle. Nice.

The reason why the name "Baileys" wasn't in it is because there was a wicked reflection on it. So if I moved it up a bit to get the name in there would have been a big reflection that would have ruined the look. For the puddle of water, I didn't want the whole thing in it. I wanted it to look like that.
I've tried getting the same shot, and it isn't possible. I have taken over 100 shots trying to recreate the first one, and it just isn't working. I'll try tomorrow around the same time I took it. Mayeb I can get it again.

The dreaded glare. I wonder if a polarizer would help with that. I usually only use them outdoors, but sometimes they cut the glare down on a shiny surfaces, like the hardwood floors in my house. Also, I just thought of this: if you make the ice cube with distilled or deionized water, it will be very clear, like a diamond. That may have a cool effect. It's already a very good shot, but if you are able to improve it, please share.

Thanks for the compliments. I've tried to get the same shot, but It wont happen. It's on of those shots that you can only take once.

after about 100 tries to recreate this picture I got one that was pretty darn close. I got the full "Baileys" name in it, and I got some water drops on it.
What one do you think looks better? I am stuck, I like both. There are some things I like about the first one, and theres others I like about the second.
The second one is a bit too bright I think, I liked the darker look to the first. I have kind of mixed emotions about this shot. But it is true, you can never take the same shot twice.
There will always be something different in it.

I like both shots: the first for it's artistic qualities, the second for the fact that I wouldn't be shocked to see it in a magazine ad. I don't think the second is too light. I like the DOF in the second one, too. The edges of the bottle are softened, it draws the eye to the label. The mist on the bottle was a great touch - it looks like chilled Bailey's. BTW, that looks like the exact same ice cube.
