i took this one a little while ago. sevara is dressed up for chinese new year festivities.
natural light with some gold reflector. 85 1.8 @ f2

Looks very good, but I think the empty space in the frame should be more on the left side, since the baby is looking in that direction and on the right side, there's nothing there and it has no reason to be there...

I like the name! :D

thanks for the great comments. yeah i agree she should be looking towards the open space, but it's tough to take a photo of a 16 month old *and* hold the reflector at the same time :o

ok, one more... her brother was 'flying' her around in a box. when he put her down, she was a bit 'upset' :D

it's really more of a snapshot -i just grabbed the camera, turned it on, and shot. the flash was too hot for fill but it is just so cute... 135 2L @ 2.5 w/ fill

I love both photos. The specially selected bananas is wonderful. Lovely child. Reminds me of my cousin's baby in India.

Agree with Karusel. The pic is great. If you avoided keeping the subject in the center I think it would have had a better feel to it.
