Hello all. I know neither of these photos is fantastic, but im really looking for ways to make them a bit better. Im a relative newcomer to photoshop, but i have version 7 asnd can just about do the basics. If anyone has some practical tips on what to do to these i would really appreciate it. Cheers in advance people.

I know how to use Photoshop pretty well and I am not sure what I would do to change them, especially the bottom one, I like that one and wouldn't change it. The Australia one looks like just a beach and again not sure I'd do anything to it either.
You can try messing around with the Layer or play around with curves, all of that is under Image then Adjustments. But there isn't much to do, as they are both pretty nice shots.

1st pic (very nice) I'd do nothing but crop some of the sand in the foreground off.. allways worth trying a tweek of levels and saturation,. but it looks ggood to me now.
2nd pic. I'd get complex and try to replace the sky.. there is a tutorial by Scottes on how to this in the Post Processing forum "tutorials Sticky",.. and again,. i'd tweek levels and this one could use a littel saturation.
