A friend asked me to shoot some photos of His car in front of a restaurant that He frequents. He's friends with the restaurant owner, and wants to surprise Him with a framed copy of the first shot. ;)
Canon 50mm MK I lens.

65' Malibu?

Probably a 64 Chevelle.
72 chevelles did not look like that. (My dad had a 72 chevelle a few years ago and sold it for a 66 mustang) They stopped looking boxy at around 67.

65' Malibu?
Looks like you came the closest. It's a 1965 Chevelle Super Sport (Same basic body as the Malibu), that has been "Retro-Rodded" with the likes of a HOT 327 engine, a built turbo 350 trans, 4:11 posi trac differential, disc brakes installed up front, the old 14 inch rims have been replaced with 17 inch rims, racing bucket seats and harnesses, and of course, a custom Silver paint job with light Purple "Ghost Flames".
This car is like brand new inside and out, only MUCH better. ;)

Nice shots of a great car! Too bad it's not a Z16, but then again if it was it would be a shame to put a custom paint job on it.

boogerg first said "72 malibu." That's why I commented on when they stopped looking boxy. He then edited his post. :p

Thanks Sheldon, I had a 64 Chevelle SS in the early eighties, and it was nice for me at the time, but nowhere near as nice as this one. Still, I regret selling it, but you know what they say about hind sight always being 20/20.

Thank You Marie. :D These were taken around 7AM. The employees even brought coffee out for us, which was DEFINITELY appreciated. ;)
I think He liked them. He's sending copies to His parents as well, who coincidentally just recently celebrated their 63rd Wedding anniversery. He said His Dad will really like them as He has worked around fast cars all of His life. He was the lead engineer for Donovan Motors, who specialized in building top fuel engines for the big boys.

the name daewoo won't be used here anymore.

Yeah, I believe the Chevy Aveo here in America is actually just a rebadged Daewoo with a facelift. :(

Yes Bruce. Unfortunatly it is true. Daewoo disapered from the market, effective January 2005 and Chevy badges are now put on all the line-up.
Daewoo had a bad image that hopefuly the Chevy brand can eliminate from the mind of consumers.
Saab 9-3 and 9-5 are also going to be fully produced in Germany and Swedden gets to produce the Caddilac BLS.
Strange days ...

Hmm.
I think there's something even worse than the rebadged Daewoos...
The 'Chevrolet' Niva ... built by the Russian Avtovaz plant (former Lada)
