I used an ebay carger with my XT. There were pretty cheap and did the job well.

I know what you mean about fleabay. Not what it used to be. Everybody and their brother is trying to sell junk for profit and a great deal of the time the prices are higher than retail. I dont even bother anymore as it takes forever just to find a genuine listing. I have used the sterlingtek charger and it works just fine. I bought it as a package with 2 of their batteries when I had an XTi. One thing I can tell you is the sterlingtek batteries actually outperformed OEM by about 30% longer.

Well I bought a canon one new for $40 and as I was opening the package I got a phone call from my mom saying my dad had stolen my charger thinking it was for his Canon. Needless to say, I have a charger for sale!
