On the EXIF info I have seen with some pics I notice that on some camera's you can add your name.
In the 300D this info is always blank and I have not found anyway to change this. Is there anyway to add my name to the EXIF info?
Thanks

Yes, you have to connect the camera to your computer via USB, and then somewhere in the software supplied with the camera there is a possibility to enter/change "owner" field. Precise instructions are probably in the (software) manual.

I'm not sure with the 300D, but with the 20D you change it by tethering your camera to your computer and running EOS Viewer Utility. Under the Options menu is Camera Settings. This is where you can enter your name.

I swear I did this with my 10D, but my name doesn't show up on the exif data in PS CS...

dhbailey is correct. You must teather the computer and camera and use EOS Viewer Utility to set the owner. I've done so on both my Drebel and 20 D.

I am encountering the same phenomena, but in fact it does show up in exif data in some programs, so it is there. I'm guessing the program, perhaps PS CS and others, doesn't recognize that field for some reason.

The name isn't part of the standard EXIF info.. It's contained in the "Makernote" data..
The Makernote data is proprietary and only used by Canon (ie custom function settings, camera serial number etc), so most non Canon programs that read EXIF won't pick it up..
