These are my first proper shots with my new Sigma 70-200 f2.8 lense (and also my first attempt at posting shots here)

What do you guys think?

And another one

Any thoughts or advice will be kindly appreciated as I am still learning and fairly new to all this.

The pics were taken with my EOS300D and the Sigma lense mentioned at ISO800 and about 1/100th/f2.8

 Don't start... that's an even bigger argument in the canoe world than the "x factor" is in ours  The ICF officially calls the sport "Canoe Polo", regardless of some people's opinion otherwise.

They're nice shots. I suspect you could do with a slightly higher shutter speed than 1/100th to effectively freeze the action though. I usually find 1/200th or 1/250th works best.

Thanks guys, that's really encouraging. I have some actual Water Polo shots that I haven't had a chance to sort yet so will post them soon. They were taken with a slightly higher shutter speed so have frozen the splashes better.

Apologies for the name mix up too. I never knew the sport existed either.
