I have to say, I don't do albums this way. I do see that the whites are blown in many of the shots, meaning, the light needed to be diffused better.

Could I ask what equipment you used? I'm curious because I like to do poses and close-ups, but I like to show a lot less pp and more of the subjects. The flash looks off for the faces, very shiny, and I see harsh shadows. How much PP did you do on these images?

whoa! too many effects for my liking personally. you have sloppy borders, classic borders, torn borders, sepia, BW, selective colour, colour all on the same pages, it's all over the map.

albums with clean, classic layouts look fantastic now, and 40 years from now imo.

Lloyd, what do you think about the PP as well? I think the OP gave samples to the bride of the PP work, but I think they are blown out. What can he do about that?

Much much better than the 1st one. I agree with Lloyd about all the different borders. Page 2 is definately the best of the bunch. I would use a more subtle border on page 1 for sure.

Best stay on one thread so I can see when you post some more, rather than changing threads on the same topic. Descriptive thread titles are good too.

I think this design is worse than the first. Sloppy borders, crap effects, selective color, etc. You haven't taken any of my advice. Go read what I read on your other thread again.

I don't like it as an album - and would start from scratch.

I agree, keep it simple (classy/elegant). Choose either white or black page backgrounds.
One border only - keep it universal throughout the book.

One thing I sometimes do is once it's dark outside for the photos I switch to back backgrounds. Sometimes. Then I use a thin white stroke around the images instead of black. But keep it simple for now.

Can i use the roses background for all the pages ????

The bride specifically said she doesn't want a plain background

ok hows this???

Its easy to remove the "rose" background and make it white - let me know (as for the pics themselves the bride and them already have their prints this is the coffee table book i'm doing so the levels / colours etc are fine but thank you for your comments on that - I will make a point to learn) i need help with the book layout now pls

I can't decide if i want the roses background on all the pages or plain white, would the roses be ok throughout?

how is this

Better. Don't use the same background twice, and fade it a bit. Also don't put anything over the center line, put the big photo on the left or right and the smaller ones opposite. Alternate which page the big image is on.
