View Full Version : Playback

I recently got a Canon HF100 and I was wondering if the camera would play back files that aren't in the .mts format. I import the video onto my mac using iMovie 7 and edit using iMovie HD (because Apple screwed over the features of 7 just to put them back on as of this morning in iLife '09). I was wondering if i could somehow put the finished edited video back onto the camera in a format it would recognize...? This would be enourmously handy if possible.

if you were editing on a pc, i think that nero will re-create the folder structure necessary for playing avchd back in the camera.
last i heard, apple does not support h.264 tho.

since it's digital... all you should have to do is a file transfer... xplore the file system on the camera, create a folder and transfer the rendered file back to the camera using your filexplorer

when using iMovie HD, you cannot save the files into .mts file format. You have either Apple QuickTime Movie or an MP4 file. I don't know if the camera supports play back of other file formats, but I suspect no.
Why would you need to put it back into the camera? If you are looking for instant playback, you can try to save it as an iPod format then use a iPod Touch or iPhone as a means to show your client?
