I'm currently selling the following lens: But I'm not sure it's the right thing to do.

Canon 17-40 F4 L
Sigma Zoom Super Wide Angle 17-35mm f/2.8-4.0 EX DG Aspherical HSM
Sigma Super Wide Angle 20mm f/1.8 EX Aspherical DG DF RF
Canon EF-S 18-55mm 18-55 f/3.5-5.6

My question is, is it worth it to sell the above lens to buy the Canon EF 16-35 mm f/2.8L USM Ultra-Wide

I do weddings, and shooting available light the Canon 17-40 f4 L does not cut it.
The Sigma 20mm 1.8 I just got.

The sigma 17-35 used to be the main lens, but while I was at a wedding I droped my Sigma 70-200 2.8 and I had to send it out for repair and I learned my leasson there. So I bought the Canon 17-40 F4 L to be my main lens, and I kept the Sigma 17-35 to have a back-up if something should happen to my Canon 17-40.

So anyway. What do you think of selling the lens to again pick up the 16-35 F2.8 L

If you do a lot of available light shots, then the 16-35 L will serve you better than the 17-40.

What about the 24-70mm 2.8L (http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ModelDetailAct&fcategoryid=149&modelid=8503)? Or is 24mm too narrow for your purposes?

Im 100% digital.

Lesson learned is to have a back-up lens.

Yes Canon digital is 1.6 so any lens you mount is times 1.6 so a 16-35 F 2.8 L is really a 25-56 F2.8 L

My sigma 70-200 2.8 is a 112-320 2.8

Well...just the Rebel, Rebel XT, 10D, and 20D are 1.6 (idk about d30 or 60, sorry). The 1D and 1DMk2 are 1.3, and the 1Ds and 1DsMk2 are full frame.
