I think your right... but what happened was this:

I had just put my camera backback down and opened it up to change lenses... and I happened to look over my shoulder and this sitting about 30ft away. His mum was just about to go up to him, as where he was sitting was right infront of where my partner was doing the formal wedding shots. I thought crap... I haven't got my lense on. I fumbled for twice as long as it normally takes me to do a fast lense change, and swung the camera around with the shutter button depressed on continous...

Unfortunately, this was the only one that came out ok... I actually had to clone his mums outstreached hand out of the right hand side of the pic.

I would have prefered him off centre as well.
