Just read about this "Black Dot" business

Apparently 'black dots' appear to the right side of light sources under certain conditions and there is talk of vertical banding noise too

As I understand it Canon have acknowledged the problem and are looking into it.

I'm just glad I couldn't afford to upgrade straight away.
