50mm f1.4 Cat portraits

Hi, my first post here. These were my first pics taken with my Canon 50mm F1.4 lens although a little while ago. Camera was a DIGITAL REBEL XT. Tried to make use of the narrow DOF. Taken inside with no flash using the coffee filter white balance 'trick'. No postprocessing.
Any comments appreciated (good or bad).

Nice shots, my favorite is #3. Though that black cat is gorgeous.
I'm thinking about getting a 50mm f/1.4. I can't decide between that and it's cheaper counterpart the f/1.8.

Tortie, I spent ages making my find up as to which 50mm, and went for the 1.4 only because of comments on this site - there are plenty of them!

Oh, I know. After reading countless reviews from everyone and their f/1.4, I'm thinking of saving my pennies for a bit longer. :]
