G'day!

Does this composition works? What could I had done better? Is this too underexposed? Should I correct perspective?

The photo lacks a certain crispness which in turn compromises what may have been a far more interesting shot. Better focus and exposure would improve it. IMO

The perspective would be a real challenge to fix given the down slope of the street; the right vanishing point following the roof line; and the other vanishing point on the left.

Lastly, my eyes are drawn to the (what?) column of steel reinforcement bars on the left. The focus you wanted was the wedge shaped building front and center, right?

G'day ayotnoms!

Thanks for the comments. I think this one goes into the recycling bin :) I had a spare day and went shooting around my place but the weather wasn't obliging. It was overcast with grey skies. I might try and reshoot it in different light to see if I can get the exposure better. I like the geometry of the scene but I just cannot seem to frame it without getting the annoying distractions in the background. Maybe trying a smaller DOF may work a little better.

Flag-
Can't get the shot just right? Welcome to my world LOL
I see the photos in this forum, get inspired, go out snap off a few shots, and come home open them up on my computer only to deal with my disappointment.

That building you photographed would have caught my attention as well. There are a ton of fantastic buildings in downtown San Francisco where I work but there's always traffic, or trolleycar wires, or construction to ruin it all. Now, if I was 12 feet tall, no problemo. 8-)

Oh well. Keep trying right?

Cheers
