Sorry, no photos. Just a few comments.

When I was gainfully employed :-) I took many trips to our Nation's Capital over a 15 year period. A few times for training, once on an assignment, and a long weekend every year for a National Legislative Conference.

There are so many great photo ops in DC and so many wonderful interiors that would seem to be perfectly suited for the 11-16 f2.8. Any of the museums of the Smithsonian, the Capitol, the White House, and the Metro system.

Of all the places I've been in DC, a Capitol Dome tour stands out. A dome tour really is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I was fortunate to be able to go on the tour twice.

The first time with Wyoming Senator Alan Simpson and the second with South Dakota Senator Tim Johnson. Spectacular doesn't go far enough in describing this very rare and all but unpublicized tour.

I'm sure the dome tour is still conducted, but is probably even rarer in this post-9/11 climate than it was when I went. Back then, you needed to be accompanied by a Member of Congress, a guide from the Capitol Architect's office, and have been approved for the tour well in advance of your time in DC.

I'd be interested in seeing anything anyone has taken of DC, with their 11-16.
