Please critique. One of the few cloudless days we had in Ireland:)
Also I still am not comfortable with the procedure for reducing for POTN so I don't know what it will look like on here.
Thanks
Sorry, meant to say rainless days...

I have to say I find the angles of everything a bit weird, and the foreground color way too intense for my liking. It also has a LOT of artifacting. I'm sure it happened in the conversion to JPEG, but there are programs that can minimize it. And, well, I hate to keep going, but it's also got a sickly green tone to it, not a heathy tone like I'd expect from Ireland.
I like the concept! This picture, if you took it in RAW, could really be something else! I'd definitely recommend re-work!

Mike, What is your workflow for reducing to post here. And what software do you have to work with?
150kb can be toufgh but this one seems to have suffered more than most.

Ahh...Part of the problem is your at 55kb, we need to get closer to the limit to take advantage of that extra 95kb.

Workflow is mostly hit and miss. I thought I had the instructions for posting here out of PS3 which is the sofware I used, but can't find it now. I realize this looks terrible on here but I really liked it before I started messing with it.
Tried to resize it with "save for web" drop down but the first couple of times I got the image to big for POTN warning.

Ps3 may have slightly diffrent interface and options but there should be some simularity's also.
You may be able to find a optamize to file size...If you do enter 150kb.
If not first adjust the file size to 800 px or whatever so long as it's under 1024 px on the long side. then adjust the quality slider till you get it under 150kb.
A couple things worth remembering is when reducing size use bicubic sharper. And i include the srgb profile.
If you have questions ask or of you can post a screen shot of the dialogue box you have as it will be slightly diffrent than mine.

I'm not even gonna answer that last question... One last pointer for future. If the file degrades to much once you get to 150 kb then reduce the overall pixal size, this will buy some quality.
But I have a question for you...Are those Suffolk sheep? My memory is not good but we used to raise whatever breed they are when I was a kid. I can tell by the shape of there head's.

I love the picture.
However not crazy on the colors.

Neumanns,
I know less about sheep than I do about resizing. These were just wandering around this dilapidated building and there was no other sign of life.
Thanks again for your help.
BTW I was really not slamming you in the other post. More like sucking up to

First pic I didn't like the colors, the edited pic showed a bit more of the clouds too. The color of the grass just seemed really dull, which may of been how it was, but it could be altered I'm sure. You've got a great shot to work with.
I just love the pic cuz of the sheep :) I collect sheep lol (well I mean not actual sheep, but anything that has to do with sheep anyway)
Any close ups of just the sheep?

Couldn't get close up of sheep as they were in a hurry as it was getting ready to rain again and you know what happens to wool coats when they get wet. (get it WOOL COATS)
