After having recently sold my trusty 300D on FM, I literally went running to B&H yesterday.

I was set on getting the 20D, but after all the positive reviews on the XT, I just had to take a look at it. After handling it I will say, it's a nice camera, however it was just not very comfortable in my hands. Mind you, I have small hands, but the corner was just digging into the palm of my right hand. Plus the view finder is a bit small.

Now the 20D was another thing. It fit my hand like a glove! So now I'm walking around with a glove in my left hand and the 20D in the other! :)

Just curious, how much did you sell your 300D for?

$500, body only, 6100+ actuations and it's almost 1 year-old. No major dents or scratches.

I agree with the XT being SMALL!
I saw it today and it is VERY small, reminds me of a G5 or something.

Yeah, basically it is a G5 in size and weight with SLR features. Has anyone found a place that is shipping the battery grip?

Truthfully, I would've bought the XT if it wasn't for the smaller size and viewfinder.

I bought a XT in the UK and I must say I lost a lot of sleep debating over the 20D and XT (350D in UK).

I went for the XT due to having limited time for my hobby, and setting this against the cost, in the hope that my next camera a few years down the line, may well get more use.

Anyway, the XT is small, but it is a superb performer and if held correctly needn't hurt your hand. I must admit though, that adding the BG-E3 grip made ALL the difference and makes it balance better and nicer and more solid feeling to hold.

Not sure about the USA, but Park Cameras and Jessops both have the grips. Just need a walk around case now that will take the XT, grip and small zoom lens... anyone?

Congrats on your XT purchase, it's a fantastic camera. In fact, anything Canon is fantastic! :)

I was so excited after getting the camera yesterday... I had a restless night and couldn't sleep much! LOL
I love the jog dial, it's so intuitive.
