hi i took this shot of my grandsun taylor last year.at that time i did not have a camera so i used my friends 300d.it was the first time i ever used a slr of any type so i put it on full auto and hoped for the best and was verry pleased.what do you think?

I like the use of light. The dark background make the baby stand out.
I dont like what I see in the background though. I wish there was something better.
The background makes the picture look amatuer.

Ummm....it was a snapshot taken with someone else's camera, not a studio shoot. It's a great shot of the baby, and I think that's what the focus is here. The rest could be Photoshopped out if you really wanted to.

Now that's what I call a portable studio. Stop anywhere, put the baby on the lap, add a little light and you're good to go.

Gorgeous little baby though I do agree regarding background. It was my biggest flaw when I began madly snapping my kids - the expression would be great but the background showed nothing but point and shoot characteristics! Now I try much harder to resist the temptation to snap away without some preparation first. Having said that, this was a nice photo opportunity and a little editing would probably work wonders. I'd very gladly ps it to remove the background but will wait to you say it's okay to edit and repost.
