Here are a few oldies I thought you might like. Be mindful they were in very bad shape when i got them and they were all taken between 1921 and 1925. This is my father as a small child/with his parents. They lived on the levee of the Mississppi river in New Orleans (Algiers).

Thanks for sharing your treasures.
Makes me wonder whether the photographers of the day fretted over white balance, aperture, focal lengths, and all the other topics we fling around here in the forum. LOL
That WWII picture of your Dad looks like it was taken only days ago. Someone is taking very good care of it.

Nice pictures. Looking at oldies like that are very interesting.
I have a picture here from 1890 or so. It's of my great grandfather. :D
It was really torn up so to surprise my grandfather I photoshopped it so it all looked like if it was brand new. I liked his reaction because he's 93 years old and knows nothing of photoshop hehe.

I got about 100-200 photos from 1800's Illinois that my great great Grandfather took. They are pretty amazing. Would you like to see some of them?

Thanks for the nice comments. When my dad died almost 2 years ago I brought home the boxes of pictures and scrapbooks I had packed up 10 years before at my grandmother's home. I spent nearly 40 hours/week scanning and restoring hundreds of photos for 4 months. It was a lot of work but so worth it to me...my dad was an only child but all nine of his children and 29 of his grandchildren got CD's of the work I did! Here's one more.....
This one is my mom, 1931.
