I am using the D500 Novatron studio flash system and the D30. I purchased the Wein Voltage regulator that limits the voltage to 6V, however I cannot get the flashes to work with this device plugged in the power pack. The camera works great without it. Does anyone else use this combo? Any suggestions?

I have the D600 Novatron. I believe the voltage is 6V or less if it has the D in the part number and you won't need the regulator. You might check with Novatron. They can upgrade yours for digital if not. One thing you might check is the household plug on the power supply will go in either way. With my D60 it'll only flash if the polarity is one way. Try turning it around.

Thank you Don. I measured the voltage and the voltage is 10V at the pin. I will try it the other way and see wat happens.

Novatron will make your power pack "digital friendly" for a minimal charge. See their website and email them. I still use my SafeSync, just to be safe.
