Hey guys,
I recently received a Canon DC310 camcorder, which burns onto mini-DVDRs. It has a great quality resolution, and I'm really pleased with it.
But-
I've figured out how to play the discs it burns on windows media player, but can't seem to be able to rip the disc to my computer, so I can edit them for Youtube videos. Does anyone know how to rip DVD's to Windows Vista?

the mini-dvds that i work with for a client are all recorded in the mpeg2 format, with the standard vob nomenclature.

if you have sony vegas pro, it will import them right into the timeline... if you go out to the dvd drive that contains the disc with windows explorer, you should be able to drill down into the folders, to access the vob files directly... you can copy 'em over to the hdd from there, they are very similar to .mpg files.

handbrake is a free, easy to use software which allows you to convert a DVD to an mp4 file. Then you can easily upload that to youtube.
