I just stuck in a rescuepro disc (the small one) from my sandisk so I can use the recovery software and guess what, the macbook pro will not read it and will not pop it back out...what in the world do i do now...I am in St Kitts for school and won't be back stateside till aug or dec so this blows if there isn't a simple fix...

There may be a small hole in which you can put a straightened paper clip in which forced the disc out.

Another was is using a very thin flat metal blade to slide along the disc, which is probably warped, so that the disc will come out. You can try the top of the disc first and then try the bottom of the disc. Don't force anything.

Dear Mac,

Stop cheaping out on the Superdrives.

Force eject a CD in OSX: Hold mouse button while booting the Mac....

I'm guessing the CD being a mini CD is the problem here. I can imagine a slot loading drive wouldn't like that...

good call on the mini cd in the slot drive - i would think it would be easy to miss-align
